Fire Weather Warning
for the Illawarra/Shoalhaven, Southern Ranges, Lower Central West Plains, Southern Slopes, Eastern Riverina, Southern Riverina and Northern Riverina fire areas

Issued at 4:08 pm EDT on Saturday 19 December 2015.

Weather Situation

Hot, dry and windy conditions are expected today over a large portion of New South Wales ahead of an approaching cold front. W/NW winds are expected over most of the area, except along the coastal fringe where winds will be out of the NE.

For Sunday 20 December:

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire areas:
Illawarra/Shoalhaven, Southern Ranges, Lower Central West Plains, Southern Slopes, Eastern Riverina, Southern Riverina and Northern Riverina

 

The NSW Rural Fire Service advises you to:

  • Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
  • Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, www.rfs.nsw.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au.
  • Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.
